Our Carbon Reduction Plan
We are facing a global climate crisis, and the UK has committed to reducing carbon emissions to net zero by no later than 2050. At Cyberware, we recognize the urgent need for positive action and are committed to achieving Net Zero by 2028. This plan sets out our baseline and our approach to achieving this.
Climate Change & Operational Resilience
At Cyberware, we recognize that climate change is a critical global challenge that impacts our clients, our supply chain, and our engineering operations. In alignment with our internal Management Systems, we have integrated climate risk into our core business strategy:
-
Resilient Infrastructure: We design and install network and security systems (CCTV, Wi-Fi, VoIP) that are engineered to withstand increasingly volatile environmental conditions.
-
Supply Chain Integrity: We actively monitor our global hardware partners to ensure climate-related disruptions do not impact our project delivery timelines for our clients.
-
Operational Adaptation: We utilize remote diagnostic technology and high-efficiency logistics to minimize our carbon footprint and ensure service continuity during extreme weather events.
-
Continuous Improvement: As part of our internal “Plan-Do-Check-Act” cycle, we regularly review our environmental impact and adapt our Carbon Reduction Plan to meet evolving UK Net Zero targets.
Introduction
Over the past several years, we have been working closely with partners, customers, and our employees to understand and address the challenges we jointly face as we move into a period of climate uncertainty.
We remain committed to taking positive action through our environmental management systems. While we have transitioned from external certification to a robust internal audit and alignment model based on the ISO 14001 standard, we continue to operate and maintain these high standards to reduce our own Carbon Footprint. In addition to internal improvements, we are committed to supporting our customers in understanding how technology can assist them in promoting, deploying, and managing change within their own environments.
Net Zero
According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Special Report, limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees and avoiding the worst impacts of climate change requires global emissions to rapidly decline over the next 10 years and reach net zero no later than 2050.
Our commitment is that by 2028 we will achieve Net Zero, or a residual level consistent with reaching net zero emissions and limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees. Our targets and pathway have been set using the most recent climate science and methodology available via the Science Based Targets initiative.
